  • Serves 4 people
  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Pan-Fried Tuna Steak

  • 4 pieces Tuna Steaks
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic, chopped finely
  • 2 tablespoons Light Olive Oil, for marinade
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Light Olive Oil, for frying

Cherry Tomato Salad with Feta Cheese

  • 400 grams Cherry Tomatoes, cut into halves
  • 2 medium Red Onions, cut into slices
  • 100 grams Feta Cheese, crumbled
  • tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Pan-Fried Asparagus

  • 400 grams Asparagus  trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon Light Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Procedure

  1. Marinate tuna steaks in garlic, light olive oil, and lemon juice for 30 minutes. Chill in the fridge until ready to use.
  2. Meanwhile, start preparing the salad. Using a mixing bowl, add the cherry tomatoes, red onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Stir in the feta cheese into the mixture. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
  3. Prepare the asparagus. Trim hard, woody ends off asparagus.
  4. Using a large frying pan. Heat light olive oil to medium heat. Add asparagus to the pan and cook until lightly browned and softened – stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Season it with salt and pepper. Set it aside.
  5. Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Using the same frying pan, add more light olive oil and turn on the heat to medium. Place the tuna steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Divide the tuna steaks, asparagus and cherry tomato salad into 4 serving plates. Serve while hot.
