Sweet, tangy, and bursting with the bright, tropical flavor of fresh pineapple, this Homemade Pineapple Jam is so easy to make. It’s perfect for toast, pastries, cakes, or desserts.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 pieces Fresh Pineapple, chopped finely or grated
- 2 cups Water
- 4 cups Granulated Sugar
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
PROCEDURE:
- Cut the pineapples and remove the core (hard part in the middle). Remove the skin as well.
- Chop the pineapples finely and transfer them to a bowl.
- Using a medium saucepan, turn the heat to medium. Add the pineapples and water. Cook for 20 minutes or until soft.
- Once the pineapples are soft, add the sugar and mix it well until dissolved. Add the cinnamon powder and lemon juice. Continue to cook for 30-40 minutes or until the Pineapple Jam is thickened. Make sure to mix it from time to time to avoid the bottom from burning.
- Turn off the heat and cool it down.
- Sterilize the jars first before putting the jam in by thoroughly washing them and sterilizing the bottles and lids with boiling water for 5 minutes. It will help prolong the shelf life of the jam.
- Fill the jars with pineapple jam. Cover it with a lid and decorate it with a paper wrapper on top. Seal it with string.
- Ready to give away to your loved ones this Holiday Season.
