Double Chocolate Banana Bread

Ultra moist, rich, and loaded with deep chocolate flavor, this delicious bread is balanced by the natural sweetness of ripe bananas. It’s fudgy and perfectly decadent, and the kind of treat that everyone will love.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 ¾ cups Mashed Banana
  • ¼ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 medium Eggs
  • ¾ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ¼ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, for garnish

PROCEDURE:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Use heat from the bottom element.
  2. Begin with dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder. Whisk everything together and set it aside. 
  3. Prepare wet ingredients. In a mixing bowl, add the mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well blended.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix well together. Add chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the banana bread mixture into the loaf pan. Sprinkle some chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
  7. When baked, cool it down for 5 minutes.
  8. To assemble, slice the bread neatly and place it in a serving dish.
