Made with fresh cubes of blue marlin in a zesty lime, red onion, and red chillies, this Blue Marlin Ceviche delivers a refreshing burst of oceanic sweetness with a clean, tangy finish that leaves you craving more.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kilogram of Blue Marlin
- ½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar ( ¼ cup for washing the fish & ¼ cup for marinating )
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt
- Zest of 2 Limes
- Juice of 2 Limes
- 4 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 2 medium Red Onions, sliced
- ¼ cup Coriander, chopped
- 4 tbsp Ginger, chopped
- 2 pieces Red Chilies
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
PROCEDURE:
- Put the fish on ice as soon as you reach home from the market. Set it aside.
- Remove the bloodline of the fish.
- Cut the fish into large and even chunks so they will get marinated evenly.
- Marinate the blue marlin by washing the fish with apple cider vinegar for 3 minutes. Drain the vinegar.
- Using a clean bowl, put the fish and add the remaining apple cider vinegar. Mix it well and marinate it for 7-10 minutes.
- In another bowl, add the Greek yogurt, lime zest, lime juice, chopped garlic, red onions, coriander, lots of ginger and red chili. Give a good stir.
- Drain the vinegar from the fish.
- Add the blue marlin to the yogurt mixture. Season it with salt and pepper. Stir it well.
- Transfer the ceviche to a serving dish and garnish it with red chili, chopped onions, and coriander.
- Ready to serve.
